Water purification machines used at home always adopt active carbon as filtering texture. Raw materials for active carbon can be both wood base charcoal and coal base charcoal. Besides carbonization process, activation procedure is necessary to make active carbon. Commonly used method are chemical method and physical method. Physical method always adopt vapor for activation. Its principle is to pass into vapor in 950 degrees or higher environment so that holes grow in charcoal and produce active carbon with many holes.
Active carbon makes great contributes to our life and its consumption quantity is also very huge. Theoretically, used active carbon belongs to hazardous wastes should be dealt with by qualified treatment plants. Regeneration method is a key way for recycling and reutilization of used active carbon. Demands for used active carbon regeneration grows fast and fast in water purification, waste gas purification, decolorized active carbon, gold mines and waste water treatment plants. Working principle for activation and regeneration is similar. What is different is that exhaust gas must be deeply analyzed and dealt for regeneration process. For example, exhaust gas must enter to secondary combustion chamber for high temperature disposal in order to prevent environment pollution.
